I just wanted to let you know the carving of Gunflint Lake arrived
today. It's just incredible I really like the stain that you used; it sets off the blue water beautifully. I showed it to our daughter and son
and they think it is awesome. We are all excited to give it to Steve tomorrow night for his birthday. It's not always easy (after 21 years
of marriage) to find that "perfect" gift, but this truly is, I know he will be surprised and treasure it. In fact this gift we will all enjoy! Good luck and success with your artwork. I will certainly pass your name along as I know we will get many compliments on your work!

I was finally able to present my father with his Borden Lake carving. He absolutely loves it! He momentarily stood in awe as had I when
I first saw it. Soon he was recounting things he has done and seen
at various parts of the lake. Then he was figuring out the best place
to mount it so he could see it most often. I think he has a hooded
wall light that he will use for it. When I told him I changed my mind and that I wanted to keep it, he shoved me back as I reached for it.
Next Spring he plans to bring it to his cabin and show it off to his
lake neighbors. You might want to send me a few of your cards.
